In defense base mode, has over-the-horizon radar, communications center, anti-aircraft sonic cannon, repair bay, construction bay: semi-autonomous armored interceptor with dual photon cannons that patrol the base perimeter. In robot mode, has fusion-powered anti-gravity gun. Binary-bonded to Lord Zarak, leader of the evil Nebulans.

Footnote: Scorponok's had two sets of official Tech Specs (in 1987 and 1988), both of them incorrect. The first version had the figures 3-4-9-3-3-3-4-4, and the second, which turned the stats upside down, had the figures 8-7-2-8-8-8-7-7. But Scorponok's built-in Tech Specs Meter reveals that his Strength, Intelligence and Speed should be 2 points higher, so I have increased all his stats by 2 points.
